Is Register Business Canada a government website?

No. Register Business Canada is an independent private business service and is not affiliated with the Government of Canada or any provincial government.

Is the 2-business-day service guaranteed?

No. It is our target processing time after the application, identification, payment and required information are complete. Government or registry processing times and name issues can cause delays.

Do CRA accounts cost extra?

For the incorporation services shown on this site, we do not charge an additional service fee to request the standard CRA program accounts you select, including GST/HST, payroll and import/export. Registration eligibility still depends on CRA requirements.

Can I choose a named or numbered corporation?

Yes. The application lets you choose. Named corporations may require a name search or reservation depending on the jurisdiction.

Why do you request photo ID?

Identity information helps verify the people directing the incorporation request. Uploads are validated and stored away from the public website folder where the hosting environment permits.

Does the lawyer service mean unlimited legal advice?

No. Any lawyer service is limited to the defined incorporation and corporate-record scope. Custom shareholder agreements, reorganizations, tax planning and other legal work are separate engagements.
